About Pitched In
Pitched In is a private inbox for A&Rs. Composers send songs from the A&R’s own link, every song files itself under the person who sent it, and the A&R presses Play new to hear everything that came in.
Why we built it
Songs reach A&Rs from everywhere at once: WhatsApp, email, voice notes, links that expire. Good music gets buried, and the people who wrote it never find out whether anyone heard it.
We started from one working A&R’s real morning: dozens of new songs, no order, and no way to answer everyone. Every part of Pitched In was shaped by that morning, and an A&R has used it from the first version.
Composers get something back too: a clear Received the moment a song lands, Heard when it’s played, and a note when the A&R has one.
What we believe
- The music belongs to the people who made it.
- We store songs only to deliver them to the inboxes a composer chooses. We never sell them, use them for ads, or train AI on them.
- Private by default.
- No public pages, and nothing plays without signing in. Each inbox sees only what was sent to it.
- Built for the A&R’s day.
- Quick to scan, quick to decide, and comfortable on a phone between sessions.
- No pay-to-pitch.
- Sending to an A&R’s own link is free, with no per-song fees.
- English and Spanish, from day one.
- The whole app and its emails work in both languages.
Where we are
Pitched In is in a private pilot with working A&Rs, and inboxes are invite-only while we open.
It’s free during the pilot. Later, the A&R inbox will be $35 a month and an optional composer membership $10 a month. Sending to an A&R’s link stays free.
