Questions and answers

How Pitched In works for A&Rs and the composers who send them songs: inboxes, sending, privacy and price. If your question isn’t here, a real person answers support@pitchedin.app.

Getting started

Who is Pitched In for?

A&Rs who get sent songs, and the composers who send them. The A&R gets a private inbox; composers send from the A&R’s own link.

How do I get an inbox?

Request an invite. A&R inboxes are invite-only, so we check each request before we invite you.

What do founding A&Rs get?

The first 100 A&R inboxes are numbered founding seats, and each one keeps its number. Founding A&Rs get new features first and stay free until subscriptions start.

How does a composer send me songs?

They open your private link (pitchedin.app/yourname), sign in with their email, and upload a file or paste a Dropbox, Google Drive or Box link. Each song files itself in that composer’s folder in your inbox.

Is there an app?

Pitched In runs in your browser and can sit on your Home Screen like an app. On iPhone, open it in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open Chrome’s menu and choose Add to Home screen.

Is it in Spanish?

Yes. Switch between English and Español at the top of any page. Emails come in the language you chose.

For A&Rs

What does Play new do?

It plays everything new, back to back. A song counts as heard the moment it starts playing.

How long do songs stay in my inbox?

Ninety days after they arrive. You get an email 10 days before, and Keep adds 30 days as often as you like. Favorites and songs on hold stay until you remove them, and you can delete any song yourself.

Can I download a song?

Only when the composer approves. You ask from the player; the composer can approve that song, or always allow your downloads.

Can my team share an inbox?

Not yet. Team access is coming later.

Why do I need two-step sign-in?

Inboxes hold unreleased music, so every A&R signs in with an email code and a code from an authenticator app.

For composers

What can I send?

MP3, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG or Opus files up to 300 MB each, or a Dropbox, Google Drive or Box link.

Will I know if the A&R listened?

Your Sent list shows when a song is received, when it’s heard, and Hold or Pass with any note the A&R leaves you.

Can I send one song to several A&Rs?

Yes. Pick several A&Rs when you send. Each one sees only their own copy and doesn’t learn who else received it.

Can I take a song back?

Once an A&R puts your song on hold, you can take it back from the other inboxes you sent it to, from the song’s page in your Sent list. The A&R holding it keeps it.

Your songs and privacy

Who can hear my songs?

Only the members of the A&R inbox you sent them to. Nothing plays without signing in, and there are no public pages.

Do you own my music?

No. You keep every right in what you send. We store it and deliver it only to the inboxes you choose, and we never use it for advertising or to train AI.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, in Settings, at any time. Your songs leave the inboxes you sent them to. If you’re the only owner of an A&R inbox, the inbox closes with your account, and everything in it is deleted.

Pricing

What does it cost?

It’s free while we open. Later, the A&R inbox will be $35 a month and the composer membership $10 a month. Sending to an A&R’s own link stays free, with no per-song fees.

How much can I store?

Composers can send 5 GB of songs in any 30 days on the Free plan. Space comes back as sends pass 30 days, and a song sent to several A&Rs counts once. An A&R inbox holds 10 GB on the Free plan, and founding A&Rs get 20 GB free until subscriptions start. Songs leave an inbox after 90 days unless they’re favorited or held. Paid plans with more room are coming soon.

Does a membership mean an A&R will listen?

No. Pitched In delivers the song and shows when it’s received. Each A&R decides what to play.
